After flying high against the Bonneville Lakers last Thursday, the Fremont Silverwolves came back down to earth. Fremont took a 74-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Skyridge on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Silverwolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hunter Hansen, who scored 22 points. Hansen scored a full 33.8% of Fremont's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Easton Duft, who scored 14 points along with eight assists.
Leading Skyridge to victory were Dane Housley and Jordan Kohler. Housley scored 22 points, while Kohler scored 26 points along with six rebounds. The game was Kohler's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate Larson, who scored five points along with six assists.
Fremont bumped their record down to 8-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Skyridge, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fremont will take on Davis at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Skyridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Layton at 7:30 p.m. Layton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 896 points over their last 12 matchups.
