Basketball Recap: Spring Now 10-3 over Last 13 Games

If Eisenhower wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Spring, they should've done a better job of containing Alayah Masters. The Spring Lions were the clear victor by a 51-30 margin over the Eisenhower Eagles on Thursday thanks in part to Masters, who posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. That's the most boards she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Samora Sampson was another key player, putting up five points and seven steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played.

Eisenhower's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyirah Lee, who scored seven points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sedmyah Steptoe, who had five points and ten boards.

Spring has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-16 record this season. As for Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.

Spring wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-20 win against MacArthur on the 25th. As for Eisenhower, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-31 defeat against Dekaney on the 25th.
