The home team had won the previous five meetings between Murfreesboro and Horatio, and Murfreesboro kept the tradition alive. The Rattlers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lions a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Rattlers have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Murfreesboro has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Horatio, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Murfreesboro will head out to take on Magnolia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Rattlers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Horatio, they will venture away from home to face off against Cutter-Morning Star at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
