The St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Baxter Springs by a score of 42-32. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points St. Mary's-Colgan has scored all season.
St. Mary's-Colgan had a senior duo take command as Jack Schremmer scored 16 points and Gus Keller scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Voss, who scored seven points.
St. Mary's-Colgan pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Baxter Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary's-Colgan won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Humboldt on January 5th. Humboldt is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Baxter Springs, they will be playing at home against Columbus at 4:30 p.m. on January 12th.
