Bristol Eastern came out on top against Farmington on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run third inning. The Lancers put the hurt on the River Hawks with a sharp 18-6 win. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the River Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Bristol Eastern got a big performance out of Lyla Wegiel, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Emily Valentine, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Bristol Eastern's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Farmington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bristol Eastern will take on Hall at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The River Hawks will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Rams will have lost four straight heading into Monday's contest.
