The Altoona-Midway Jets will head out to face off against the Oswego Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Altoona-Midway is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season.
Last Friday, Altoona-Midway came up short against Marmaton Valley and fell 45-35. The Jets haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was William Stackhouse, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 37 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Chance Mustain, who posted seven points and five steals.
Meanwhile, Oswego entered their tilt with Yates Center on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victor by a 62-37 margin over the Wildcats. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.
Oswego's win came from a few key players Altoona-Midway will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Owen Jackson, who went 12 of 16 on his way to 25 points and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.2% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Demitri Williamson, who went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points and seven steals.
Oswego pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 35.7% in those games and 17.7% outside of them. As for Altoona-Midway, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Altoona-Midway has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Oswego struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Altoona-Midway came up short against Oswego in their previous meeting back in January, falling 55-47. Can Altoona-Midway avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
