While Frankston's win against LaPoynor wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Frankston Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the LaPoynor Flyers on Monday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Flyers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Frankston's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-5. As for LaPoynor, they moved to 9-6 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Frankston will have a chance to go back-to-back against LaPoynor: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
