The Palmer Trinity Falcons lost against the Boca Raton Bobcats back in January of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Palmer Trinity received a tough blow as they fell 59-44 to Boca Raton. While losing is never fun, Palmer Trinity can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Boca Raton is ranked 26th).
When it comes to explaining why Palmer Trinity lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jade Leon. Despite the final result, she scored 28 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Leon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mati Veloso, who scored three points along with five rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Palmer Trinity and nudges their season record down to 9-8. As for Boca Raton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmer Trinity will take on Pine Crest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boca Raton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pahokee at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th.
