Tyce Lisle looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
At the plate, Colonel Crawford let Brayden Holt and Grady Riggle run wild. Holt went 2-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double, while Riggle went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Parker Weithman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Colonel Crawford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Carey got themselves on the board against Wynford on Wednesday, but Wynford never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 8-0 victory. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Louis Watkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Tarris, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was David Hall, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Colonel Crawford's record now sits at 11-6. As for Carey, their record is now 18-2.
Colonel Crawford suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Carey in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
