The Fairhaven Blue Devils suffered their closest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Seekonk by a score of 46-43. Fairhaven has not had much luck with Seekonk recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Noah Beausoleil was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points for Seekonk. Travis Pereira was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Fairhaven's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for Seekonk, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairhaven will challenge West Bridgewater at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. West Bridgewater has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11. As for Seekonk, they will head out on the road to face off against Apponequet Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
