Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Williamsburg Academy). They strolled past the Holly Hill Academy Raiders with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 61-43.

Despite the loss, Holly Hill Academy still got an impressive performance from Jody Gillam, who went 14 for 25 on his way to 31 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. That was a full 72.1% of Holly Hill Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Siau, who had five points.

Williamsburg Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Holly Hill Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Williamsburg Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. John's Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Holly Hill Academy and Savannah Country Day will round out the year against one another at at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
