Tri-Cities Christian strolled past the Ospreys with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 46-32. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 18 to 5 on the offensive boards, as Tri-Cities Christian did.
Tri-Cities Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bella Bosken led the charge by scoring ten points along with six steals and five rebounds. Bosken also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Faith Greene, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Kelsey Threewitts scored 13 points.
Tri-Cities Christian's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Cities Christian will take on the at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against the Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Timberlake Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
