The Madera Coyotes will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against the El Diamante Miners at 4:00  p.m. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Tuesday, Madera got themselves on the board against Clovis, but Clovis never followed suit. They skirted past the Cougars  2-0.
 Madera got a great performance from  Jayleen Gutknecht as she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over six innings pitched.
 At the plate, Madera saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Malea Ricks, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.  Brilynn Santiago was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.
 Meanwhile, El Diamante had to endure  a  six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Clovis by a score of  7-2  on Wednesday. The  victory was just what El Diamante needed coming off of  a  10-0 defeat in their prior  contest.
  Jorja Moreno made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). Moreno has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Moreno was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Madera has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 10-6-1 record  this season. As for El Diamante, their record now sits at 10-6.
 Madera beat El Diamante 3-0  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2015. The rematch might be a little tougher for Madera since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
