The Beallsville Blue Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 win over Hundred. The win was some much needed relief for Beallsville as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Hundred still got an impressive performance from Colt Sandy, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. Sandy is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Bartrug, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Hundred were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. This was only their ninth loss (out of 11 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Beallsville's victory bumped their record up to 2-13. As for Hundred, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12.
Beallsville will head out on the road to take on the Wildcat at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hundred, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
