After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Santa Paula, the Channel Islands Raiders were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They breezed by Hueneme on the road to the tune of 63-26. With Channel Islands ahead 44-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Channel Islands' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jevon Bobbsemple, who scored 13 points. Rajai Moody was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Hueneme still got an impressive performance from Joseph Richardson, who scored eight points.
Channel Islands now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Hueneme, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Channel Islands' road trip will continue as they head out to face Cate at 5:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Hueneme, they will take on Carpinteria at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
