Basketball Recap: Bowman Academy Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Hammond Bishop Noll came into Friday's game looking for another win against Bowman Academy, but Kahlen Robinson wouldn't allow it. The Bowman Academy Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 win over the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors on Friday thanks in part to Robinson, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bowman Academy's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Laniece Smith, who posted six points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ecrin Mart, who put up 19 points along with six assists and five boards. Quinn Fehr was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Bowman Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Bowman Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 36-29 victory against River Forest on the 27th. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-48 loss against South Bend Riley on the 28th.
