The Wayne Country Day Chargers took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 63-8 victory over Northwood Temple Academy. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-8.
Wayne Country Day's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyrah Davis, who scored 23 points along with 8 steals and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was Audrey Teeter, who scored 10 points along with 9 steals and 6 assists.
Wayne Country Day's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Northwood Temple Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayne Country Day will challenge Trinity Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northwood Temple Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Freedom Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
