Dante Carr Turns in Season-Best Effort
Dante Carr produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Minersville to the win on Friday. Carr rushed for 207 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
This season, Carr has thrown 18 touchdowns while averaging 194.3 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had nine passing touchdowns.

Carestia Posts Huge Game in 81-6 Victory
Niko Carestia's big game helped extend Schuylkill Haven's winning streak to seven on Friday. Pine Grove had no answer to Carestia as he rushed for 222 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Carestia really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
Carestia might have his next game, a road matchup with Nativity BVM, circled on his calendar. When Carestia last faced the Green Wave back in September of 2023, he rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns.

Williams Valley Gets a Boost from Shomper in 33-0 Victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Brady Shomper stepped things up a notch to give Williams Valley the 'W'. Nobody could stop Shomper as he threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 49 yards.
Williams Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Shomper will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Shenandoah Valley on Friday.

Colton Reber Goes Supernova in Schuylkill Haven Win
Colton Reber was instrumental in extending Schuylkill Haven's winning streak to seven on Friday. Reber turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
This season, Reber has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 94.1 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns.

Parker Hatter Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Parker Hatter of Tri-Valley. Hatter picked up 54 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 37 yards.
The victory (which was Tri-Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Hatter and Tri-Valley will welcome Minersville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
