Harrison Central fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Purple Riders on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Purple Riders 66-62. Harrison Central has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Beaver's strategy against the Golden Bears on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Beaver blew the Golden Bears out of the water with a 70-43 final score. The victory was just what Beaver needed coming off of a 82-54 loss in their prior matchup.
Harrison Central's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3. As for Beaver, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.
Harrison Central didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Beavers when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 71-65 win.
