Mason Markovich Drops League-Best Effort on Thursday
Starting off the list is Glenwood Springs's Mason Markovich, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Markovich's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 129 rushing yards dating back to last season. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run.
Glenwood Springs' loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. Markovich and Glenwood Springs will head out to face off against Rifle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Easton Embrey Leads Palisade over Rifle
On Friday, Palisade got the W thanks in part to Easton Embrey playing the best football he has all season. Embrey rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory was the third in a row for Palisade, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Embrey and Palisade will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Steamboat Springs at 6:00 p.m. on October 24th.

Keaden Lake Turns in Season-Best Effort
Eagle Valley was led to victory by Keaden Lake, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Lake picked up 208 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 89 yards.
Eagle Valley now has a winning record of 4-3. Lake and Eagle Valley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Rifle at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.
