With a playoff game on the line, the Conway Christian Eagles rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 39-32 victory over Poyen. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Jeryn Thomas was on fire: he rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. Brady Domokos was another key contributor, rushing for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
Conway Christian has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points per game. As for Poyen, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Conway Christian will square off against East Poinsett County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Poinsett County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games. Poyen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
