The Edgewood Mustangs won the last time they faced the Cloverdale Clovers, and things went their way on Friday too. Edgewood breezed by Cloverdale at home to the tune of 62-35. With that victory, Edgewood brought their scoring average up to 51.3 points per game.
Leading Edgewood to victory were Mialin White and Carson Huttenlocker. White scored 10 points, while Huttenlocker scored 19 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Huttenlocker has scored at least 25% of Edgewood's points. Kamren Ranard was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Cloverdale had strong showings from Noah Betz, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks, and Trey Schabel, who scored 9 points. Betz scored a full 40% of Cloverdale's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Cloverdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
