Ida Crown Jewish Academy hasn't had much luck against Westmont recently, but that could start to change on Monday. On Thursday, Ida Crown Jewish Academy got the win against Walther Christian Academy by a conclusive 13-2. Considering the Aces have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Noah Lehrfield made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has become a key player for Ida Crown Jewish Academy: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 2-5 otherwise. Lehrfield was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Gabriel Rich and Eli Comrov did most of the damage at the plate: Rich went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Comrov got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Yaakov Lehrfield was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Ida Crown Jewish Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Westmont came up short against Marian Central Catholic on Friday and fell 14-9.
Nikolai Baldwin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Andy Pecard, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Ida Crown Jewish Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Westmont, their loss dropped their record down to 22-10-1.
