Madison had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Idaho Falls Tigers. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row dating back to last season.
While Madison won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-16, 25-22.
Torey Parker paced Madison's offense, picking up 11 kills. Parker got some help from Camri Call and her 34 assists. Finally, Parker was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.
Despite the loss, Idaho Falls still got an impressive performance from Addison Bowen, who had 13 digs and one assist.
Idaho Falls is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-3.
After both having extra time off, Madison and Skyline will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Idaho Falls, they will square off against Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
