After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Covington-Douglas, Davenport was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   31-22  win over the Coyle Bluejackets.
 Davenport found their leader in freshman  Chase Mitchell, who threw for 124 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 59 yards on only seven carries.
 Davenport's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Coyle,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-7.
 Davenport will be staying on the road  on Friday to face off against Wilson-Henryetta at 7:00  p.m. Wilson-Henryetta will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Davenport surely won't give up without a fight. Coyle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
