It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Mt. Hebron Vikings had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Oxon Hill by a score of 49-37. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
When it comes to explaining why Oxon Hill lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cameron Azodeh. Despite the final result, he gained 337 total yards. Azodeh really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run.
Mt. Hebron's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Oxon Hill, they have yet to win a contest on the road this season, leaving them with a 5-6 record.
Mt. Hebron will take on Oakland Mills at TBD on Friday. Oakland Mills will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Oxon Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
