The Takini Skyhawks entered their tilt with the Bison Cardinals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Takini secured a 67-63 W over Bison on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Bison still got an impressive performance from Rylee Veal, who scored 35 points. Veal scored a full 55.6% of Bison's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Pier , who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Bison were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Takini's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Bison, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Takini will take on Flandreau Indian at 4:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Bison, they will be playing at home against Carter County at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
