The biggest upset of the week belonged to San Diego Jewish Academy, who took down 979th ranked San Diego Jewish Academy, 35-7. Jake Kirby threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 25 yards in the win.
Maranatha Christian was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in Pacific. The Eagles beat the Lions 35-7 earlier in the week.
Micah Weinstein provided a threat through the air and on the ground as San Diego Jewish Academy lost to Maranatha Christian. He completed 13 passes for 250 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 33 yards. Weinstein's favorite target this week was Jeremy Danzig, who caught two passes for 96 yards.
Dan Duka was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 229 yards on 17 carries as Michael Hauser's team fell to Michael Hauser's team.
Max Schwan made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Eagles defeated the Lions. The 5-foot-11 senior forced two fumbles and racked up two sacks.
Maranatha Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kirby has thrown for 668 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Jack Olmstead has 24 catches for 382 yards. Duka leads the league in rushing with 467 yards.
Army-Navy moved up to 556 from 723 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Pacific. A 45-8 win over San Pasqual Academy helped the Warriors improve their standing.
