On Thursday, the Ribault Trojans's game was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against First Coast by a score of 54-46. Given Ribault's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while First Coast is ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Caleb Williams, who scored 23 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Ribault's points. Another player making a difference was Jamian Jackson, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, First Coast still got an impressive performance from Jordan Anderson, who scored seven points along with five rebounds. Cameron West was another key contributor, scoring three points along with six rebounds.
Ribault is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for First Coast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.
Ribault will look to defend their home court on January 5th against Sandalwood at 6:30 p.m. First Coast and Fernandina Beach will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
