Fans got a thrill when Kevin Tracy and Wilson Fields connected against Woodside Priory. The connection went for 65 yards, the longest such play in Mission Trail (8 Man) this season.
The Panthers extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Pinewood, 56-22. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
James McDaniel was a force in the backfield as Doug Sargent's team beat the Panthers.
Vince Ko made the biggest impact on defense this week as Alma Heights Christian bested Anzar. The 6-foot-1 senior recorded 1 fumble and racked up 1 sack.
Micheal Alcaraz threw for 211 yards and 5 touchdowns.
McDaniel was a passing and rushing force as the Panthers beat Pinewood. McDaniel's key target this week was Tom Latta, who caught 3 passes for 19 yards.
Alcaraz put up the best numbers through the air as Trinity Christian defeated Crystal Springs Uplands. Alcaraz's favorite target this week was Matt Novak, who caught 3 passes for 121 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Warriors' Alcaraz and Novak have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Alcaraz has thrown for 2,189 yards this season, while Novak has 47 catches for 1,001 yards. McDaniel from Woodside Priory leads the league in rushing with 1,324 yards.
The Panthers took down Matt Irvin's team 56-22 last week, the largest margin of any game. McDaniel ran for 239 yards during the win.
