Tahlia Smith made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Lillian Grimes was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Olive Filippini was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI.
St. Helena kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
