Notre Dame scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Crespi, 40-34. At the time, the Celts were ranked 12th in the state, while the Knights were 36th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Notre Dame, who took down 12th ranked Crespi, 40-34.
Notre Dame's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kelly Hilinski has thrown for 1077 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Koa Farmer has 13 catches for 276 yards. Khalfani Muhammad leads the league in rushing with 680 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Jon Mack's team and Bishop Amat. The Celts comes into the matchup ranked 17th in the state, while the Lancers ranks 19th.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when Loyola and Kevin Rooney's team meet this week. The Cubs features well-regarded senior Cameron Walker while the Knights has Muhammad, a sought after senior.
There should be lots of points scored when Loyola and Notre Dame face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Michael Christensen's team comes in having scored 188 this season, while the Knights have scored 268.
The Cubs suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a bye. Loyola had been ranked 23rd, but fell to 30.
