There's no place like home for Bearden, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They breezed past the Campbell County Cougars to the tune of 85-37 on Saturday. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Cox, who went 5-for-12 en route to 13 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Browning, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards.
Bearden has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.1 points over those games. Campbell County's loss dropped their record down to 17-15.
Looking ahead, Bearden will look to defend their home court on Monday against Hardin Valley Academy at 7:30 p.m. Bearden is facing Hardin Valley Academy at the right time seeing as Hardin Valley Academy is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Campbell County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
