Basketball Recap: Good Samaritan Homeschool's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Good Samaritan HomeSchool put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 36-26 victory over the Deweyville Pirates. The 36-point effort marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dominic Fogo led the charge by putting up ten points in addition to eight boards and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of George Fogo, who posted six points and six steals.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in seven consecutive matchups.

Deweyville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kallel Crooks, who put up nine points. Another player making a difference was Micah Curl, who had six points.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Deweyville, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-33 victory against Burkeville on the 6th. As for Deweyville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 47-42 loss against Harmony Science Academy on the 6th.
