Argos is 0-9 against Knox since May of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Dragons are taking a road trip to take on the Redskins at 5:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
Knox will be up against a hot Argos squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Dragons' way against LaVille on Monday as they made off with a 20-5 victory. With that win, the Dragons brought their scoring average up to 7.6 runs per game.
Ivy Stackhouse made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Argos got a massive performance out of Adelyn Lewark, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. Those four runs gave Lewark a new career-high. Allison Mark also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Argos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Knox). They blew past LaVille 18-1 on Tuesday. The Redskins have beaten the Lancers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lancers has come to flipping the script.
Karleigh Friedrich was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Wolff, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Argos pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Knox, the victory also got them back to even at 4-4.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Argos has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. However, it's not like Knox struggles in that department as they've averaged .451. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Argos suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Knox in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
