Enloe took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Southeast Raleigh a 14-0 shutout. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Elijah ?Eli? Ferguson and Nathan ?Nate? Peters did most of the damage at the plate: Ferguson scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3, while Peters scored two runs and stole Four bases. Peters also put up two runs, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Robey Keys, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Meanwhile, Knightdale hadn't done well against Enloe recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way. Trey Sides made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Maximo Jimenez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Tylen Harris was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Enloe has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Knightdale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
