South Lamar won the last time they faced Marion County and things went their way on Friday too. The Stallions were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Red Raiders. The Stallions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by ten runs or more this season.

South Lamar is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Marion County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.

Looking ahead, South Lamar will head out on the road to square off against Pickens Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stallions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Marion County, they will be playing at home against Hubbertville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Red Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
