The result came thanks to Sierra Albright's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Bald Eagle Area saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Thompson, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Westmont Hilltop beat Bishop McCort 4-1 on Wednesday.
Addy Dunbar spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on nine hits.
