The Maysville Panthers will be playing at home against the Meadowbrook Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Maysville's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Meadowbrook has been banged up by 16 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Monday, Maysville beat Northridge 57-50.
Maysville can attribute much of their success to Gator Nichols, who scored 21 points along with two steals, and Alex Bobb, who scored 28 points along with nine rebounds. Bobb is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Wesley Armstead, who scored two points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Meadowbrook earned a 49-40 victory over Ridgewood on Tuesday. That nine points margin sets a new team best for Meadowbrook this season.
Maysville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Meadowbrook, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-10.
Everything came up roses for Maysville against Meadowbrook in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 106-41 victory. Does Maysville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Meadowbrook turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
