The Palmer Trinity Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Miami Springs Golden Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmer Trinity is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Last Thursday, Palmer Trinity made easy work of Braddock and carried off a 13-2 win. Considering the Falcons have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Emily 'Emmy' Cerda made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Kinsey Cerda was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 13 games she's played. Mela Fajardo was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Palmer Trinity always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.
Meanwhile, Miami Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Hialeah, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Hawks have lost by exactly 15 runs.
Palmer Trinity has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Miami Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
Miami Springs' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Palmer Trinity has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.9 strikeouts per game.
