Soccer Recap: Northeast Guilford Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ben L. Smith last Tuesday, Northeast Guilford came back down to earth. The Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastern Guilford Wildcats on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Eastern Guilford this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

Northeast Guilford has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Eastern Guilford, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Northeast Guilford and Eastern Guilford will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Rams see the pitch they'll take on Southern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Eastern Guilford, their break will end when they face High Point Central at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
