While Hillsboro didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Valley Mills by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. Hillsboro was shut out 3-0 the last time they took on Valley Mills, so Hillsboro was just returning the favor.

Charlee Mack paced Hillsboro's offense, picking up nine kills. Mack got some help from Cloe Creech and her eight assists. Valeria Garcia controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Hillsboro has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Valley Mills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Hillsboro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Castleberry on the 21st. As for Valley Mills, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Bishop Reicher Catholic on the 21st.
