Bluefield is 1-7 against Montcalm since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Beavers will head out to face off against the Generals at 5:30 p.m. Bluefield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Bluefield was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene two weeks ago. They skirted past Princeton 20-19. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Audra Rockness was incredible, getting on base in all six of her plate appearances with five runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia English, who went 2-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one double.
Bluefield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .580. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Montcalm lost 17-3 to Greenbrier West on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Generals in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost seven in a row.
Mady Hart was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Bluefield's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Montcalm, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Montcalm's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bluefield hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352. It's a different story for Montcalm, though, as they've only averaged .181. Will they be able to contain Bluefield's hitters?
Bluefield got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Montcalm by a conclusive 23-4 score. Will the Beavers repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
