Oak Creek is 10-0 against Racine Park since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Oak Creek Knights will head out on the road to take on the Racine Park Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Oak Creek has four straight victories, Racine Park has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, Oak Creek was fully in charge, breezing past Racine Case 69-40 at home. Given Oak Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Racine Case is ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Racine Park came up short against Kenosha Tremper on Tuesday and fell 54-41. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Racine Park in their matchups with Kenosha Tremper: they've now lost five in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Myasia Bostick, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. Addison Betker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Oak Creek's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Racine Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Oak Creek against Racine Park when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 65-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oak Creek since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
