Albany made easy work of Springfield on Friday and carried off a 44-20 win. That result was just more of the same for Albany, who also won the last time these teams played.
After a totally unproductive first quarter, the Albany offense stepped up its game and put 16 points on the board in the second quarter. Springfield put up 6, so the score was 16-6 at the half. Albany's offense just added to that total in the second half en route to their big win. The victory bumped their record up to 3-0. The loss dropped Springfield's record to 2-1.
Albany will stay at home next week against Wright at 7:00 PM. Springfield will look to defend their home turf against Northlake Christian at 7:00 PM.
