Ridgeview is 4-0 against Monache since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The pair will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ridgeview will be strutting in after a win while Monache will be coming in after a loss.
Ridgeview's and Bakersfield's match on Saturday was close at halftime, but Ridgeview turned on the heat in the second half with 34 points. Ridgeview blew past Bakersfield 65-41.
Ridgeview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron James Macabuag led the charge by scoring 17 points. The matchup was Macabuag's third in a row with at least ten points. Braylin Herron was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Monache has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Corcoran 58-54.
The losing side was boosted by Ty Baxter, who scored 27 points along with four steals. Baxter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Emmett Focke, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
The victory got Ridgeview back to even at 4-4. As for Monache, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
Ridgeview strolled past Monache when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a score of 58-44. Will Ridgeview repeat their success, or does Monache have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
