Borden County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycob Fry, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Fry is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Eli Grigsby also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for O'Donnell, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over Varsity Opponent on Friday.
Lincoln Graham was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Jonathan Bolton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
O'Donnell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
O'Donnell's record now sits at 6-4. As for Borden County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Borden County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like O'Donnell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Borden County might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from O'Donnell when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Coyotes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
