Video: Recap - Northwest vs. Saginaw 2016
Watch as the Texans handle Saginaw 49-10 to continue their remarkable 2016 turnaround.
The following Class 5A-1A teams enter Week 7 with undefeated records coming off losing seasons in 2015:
1. Penelope 6-0. Last year 0-10.The Wolverines have shut out two opponents, not an easy task in six-man competition, after coming into this season without a win since 2013. The District 14-1A DI member went 3-37 in its four previous seasons.
2. Northwest (Justin) 5-0. Last year 1-9.The Texans experienced a dreadful 2015, but with a drop from Class 6A to 5A as well as the return of 13 starters, Bill Poe's team is writing a different story with a 2-0 start in District 6-5A.
3. Porter 4-0. Last year 1-9.With quarterback
Jake Hall already surpassing the 1,000-yard passing mark with 11 touchdowns, the Spartans are seeking a worst-to-first storyline in District 21-5A.
4. Cumby 6-0. Last year 1-9.It has been a remarkable improvement by the Trojans defense. After allowing 394 points last season, Cumby in six games has yielded only 48. Part of the credit goes to leading tackler
Braden Coble. Cumby begins play in District 9-2A DII this week.

5. Ray (Corpus Christi) 5-0. Last year 2-8.Defensively, the Texans have held opponents to single digits in points in four games. On offense, Craig Charton's club is balanced with an average of 205 passing yards and 200 on the ground. Ray is capable of making waves in District 30-5A.
6. Port Arthur Memorial 4-0. Last year 3-7.Injuries sidelined quarterback
Kadon Harrison for half of the 2015 season. The Louisiana-Lafayette commit has the Titans thinking big in District 22-5A.
7. Anna 5-0. Last year 3-9.The running of senior
Daunte Rose (532 yards) and junior quarterback
Keelan Crosby (nine touchdowns) has the Coyotes primed to make a run in District 7-4A DI.
8. Harper 6-0. Last year 3-8.A year ago, the Longhorns dropped their first seven games. A Week 7 win over Sabinal in a District 14-2A DI opener would be a total reversal of that start.
9. Farmersville 6-0. Last year 4-6.The Farmers have snapped the ball 278 times and 169 of those plays have resulted in a carry by senior Caleb Twyford (975 rushing yards) or junior Cade Twyford (519). After failing to win a district game last year, the Farmers are 2-0 in District 7-3A DI.
10. Elysian Fields 6-0. Last year 4-6.The Yellowjackets lost their last four games a year ago, but are flying high now thanks to the passing of senior
Logan Hughes (1,613 yards, 16 touchdowns). Scott Ford's team is 2-0 in District 9-3A DII.
