Riverside Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Overhills Jaguars with a sharp 17-11 victory. The win was nothing new for the Royals as they're now sitting on six straight dating back to last season.
Bella Monahan was incredible, scoring four runs while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Alivia McMillan, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
Monahan wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Riverside Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. They got five more hits than Overhills' also-impressive total of 15.
Riverside Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-0 victory against Village Christian Academy on the 3rd. As for Overhills, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-4 win against Southern Lee on the 28th.
