The Roswell Coyotes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Artesia Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Roswell had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They really took it to Deming for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-0 win on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Roswell, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Meanwhile, Artesia faced Piedra Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Artesia took their matchup at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 50-0 victory over Piedra Vista. The win was nothing new for Artesia as they're now sitting on four straight.
Artesia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Conn, who picked up 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Frankie Galindo, who gained 62 total yards and two touchdowns.
Roswell's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Artesia, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
